Four years later, after a considerable number of copies had been sold, she received an offer for it from a publisher which she accepted. Then another publisher, who had refused it in the first instance, expressed a wish to have it, and succeeded in purchasing it, afterwards publishing it under its present title, since which it has enjoyed immense popularity.
